Why Pulsis

More data is not the answer.

Trading desks already have data. What they lack is clarity. Conflicting indicators, black-box models, and signal feeds that never explain themselves create friction, slow decisions, and inconsistent outcomes. You do not need another dashboard. You need to know what the market is doing and why it matters.

Clarity.

You do not need

A conceptual contrast between unexplained signals and readable reasoning.

Pulsis Human
Intelligence Layer

The name honors Phil Lewis, the veteran Wall Street strategist whose four decades of behavioral market research form the foundation of the system. Phil interprets market structure through a multi-layer behavioral framework and explains every insight in plain language: what the market is doing, which behaviors drove the interpretation, and why it matters to you. Structured reasoning, on demand, at machine speed. Never a black box.

Four decades of research

Each layer sits on the one below it
  • Forty years of behavioral logic.

Most trading AI starts with academic theory or statistical models. Pulsis starts with four decades of real, human-interpreted market patterns, refined and validated across every market cycle since the early 1980s.

  • Reasoning you can read.

Every insight comes with a structured explanation. Your traders see the logic. Your compliance team can audit it. Nothing is hidden inside a model you cannot question.

  • Human strategy at machine speed.

Machine learning validates and extends the behavioral framework. It never overrides it. You get the judgment of a veteran strategist with the speed and consistency of software.

About

The people behind Pulsis.

Pulsis began with a conversation. Phil Lewis had spent four decades interpreting market behavior for major institutions, including Bank of New York Mellon, where he served as a trusted advisor on custody holdings and global risk. His methodology lived in his head and his spreadsheets. It worked, but it could not scale. Mike, a product leader with deep AI experience at Meta, saw what it could become. Together with Jorge Rodriguez, former EVP and Head of Global Markets at BNY Mellon, they set out to preserve and extend that lifetime of knowledge. The result is Pulsis.

Philip Lewis

Co-Founder, President & Head of R&D

Philip Lewis is the Founder, President and Head of Research and Development of Pulsis, where he leads the development of the company’s proprietary market intelligence and predictive modeling frameworks. For more than four decades, Phil has focused on identifying recurring behavioral patterns across financial markets and transforming those insights into institutional-grade investment and risk management solutions.

In 1988, following independent validation of his proprietary Interest Rate Timing Model by the Miller School at Pace University, Phil founded YieldMaster, a financial engineering and model analytics firm that has advised some of the world’s most respected financial institutions. His models have supported multi-asset risk management strategies, fixed income portfolio optimization, interest rate hedging programs, and tactical market timing initiatives across North America, Europe, and Asia.

Phil later served as Head of Model Integration & Tactical Hedging Applications for BNY Mellon, where he worked closely with global risk and strategy teams and helped develop market navigation tools tied to the flow of more than $30 trillion in assets under custody and administration. Throughout his career, he has remained focused on a singular challenge: understanding how human behavior drives market outcomes.

At Pulsis, Phil is bringing decades of research, market experience, and proprietary intellectual property together with modern artificial intelligence to create a new generation of predictive financial intelligence. His work forms the foundational market framework upon which the Pulsis platform is built.
